Planning the design

This is the most crucial part of the process. You need to plan properly the responsive web design process prior to stepping into the implementation phase. You must create a suitable wireframe, followed by developing a visual design of the site (blueprint) before taking the lead in the coding process. This will help a lot in developing the perfect design as per the expectation. It will also make it a lot easier for your designers when it comes to customizing the templates and integrating it in the most seamless manner with the brand name.  Make sure you have created a whole lot of different prototypes for your website. Test them accordingly and on different screen sizes. This is required to ensure that the end design is perfectly responsive.  Some of the essential tools that can be used to create these responsive prototypes are listed:

Adobe Edge Reflow

This tool from Adobe makes it easy enough to design a responsive design for the website visually. It does so by simply converting the Photoshop files into CSS and HTML and then allowing you to adjust the design using several mobile breakpoints.

InVision

This is another great tool that can be used to develop the most interactive prototypes for your website. Any user having a link can easily test the buttons, scrolling, navigation, and lot more and then provide you with the feedback. This tool is extremely beneficial when it comes to observing the performance of a site in different contexts.
